During his visit to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, with the Belarusian delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleynik, the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhael Miatlikov, met with the heads of two chambers of commerce of Equatorial Guinea – the President of the Official Chamber of Commerce of the Continental Region, Bienvenido Nvó Mangué, and the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Island Region of Equatorial Guinea Angel Nokonoko Mikoso.
During the meeting, both immediate business projects and promising events that could contribute to the beginning of regular relations at the inter-chamber level were discussed.
In particular, the heads of the chambers considered the possibilities of holding a business forum and other events with the participation of representatives of the business communities of the two countries, as well as organizing an exhibition of Belarusian manufacturers in Equatorial Guinea.
In addition, the parties discussed the progress in implementing previously reached agreements on the preparation of a draft agreement on cooperation between the Belarusian and Equatoguinean chambers of commerce.
For his part, the Chairman of the BelCCI confirmed his firm intentions to develop a substantive dialogue between the business unions of the two countries to present export opportunities and potential in various sectors of the economy.
The previous meeting of the Chairman of the BelCCI with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of the Bioko Island of Equatorial Guinea took place on October 19 in Minsk.
The Belarusian delegation in Malabo also includes the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sergei Bartosh, the Minister of Health Dmitry Pinevich, deputy ministers of industry, education, heads of the State Committee for Science and Technology, state concerns, representatives of universities, business and financial circles.
