On July 15, a working meeting, "Business Breakfast with a Diplomat," was held in the conference hall of the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Yuri Dmitrichkov, Counselor for Trade and Economic Issues at the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan, participated.
About 30 representatives of the real economy from all regions of Belarus attended the event. Companies from various sectors received up-to-date information on the Turkmen market and discussed pressing issues openly and personally.
Participants were interested in opportunities to promote the export of furniture, canned fruits and vegetables, confectionery, beverages, agricultural machinery, glass, animal feed, livestock equipment, design and logistics services, and more.
Special attention was paid to such pressing trade issues as customs regulations, non-tariff barriers, logistics, mutual settlements, and government procurement. Naturally, the Belarusian diplomat also touched on the cultural aspects of doing business with Turkmen partners and issues of traditions, rules, and current laws, knowledge of which greatly influences the success of any business project.
The event is primarily aimed at members of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is designed to facilitate their entry into the Turkmen market.
Meeting participants praised the format of the event and the opportunity to personally interact with a representative of the Economic Service of the Belarusian Embassy in Turkmenistan.
The Brest branch of the BelCCI will continue organising events in other countries and regions around the world.
