Signing of a Cooperation Agreement with the Sichuan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, People's Republic of China

A Cooperation Agreement between the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sichuan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade in China was signed today in Minsk during the Belarus-China (Sichuan) roundtable discussion held at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Chinese delegation, led by Mr. Wang Guangjun, Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Council of Trade and Industry Trade, is interested in developing interregional trade and economic ties, which served as the impetus for the meeting and the formalisation of the interests of the two regions.

Sichuan Province remains one of the country's largest provinces in terms of population, resources, economic development, and technological advancement. Its production volumes of grain, meat, rapeseed, and silkworm cocoons are among the highest in China. Fully integrated industrial sectors produce high-quality machinery, electronics, metallurgy, chemicals, construction materials, food products, and silk.

Valery Labun, General Director of the Brest branch, expressed great interest in developing mutual contacts, new projects, and joint events with the business community of Sichuan Province and expressed confidence that this cooperation has enormous potential.
