Leningrad Region delegation visits Brest. B2B negotiations

A business matchmaking session between Belarusian and Russian companies took place on August 21 at the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of a visit to the Brest region by a business delegation from the Leningrad Region, led by Nadezhda Druzhinina, Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity and Regional Cooperation of the Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Leningrad Region”.

The two regional chambers regularly implement joint educational programmes for businesses on industrial tourism, banking and finance, and attend industry exhibitions and forums. This time, the delegation arrived in Brest to establish direct contacts and promote mutual trade.

The availability of direct air service between Brest and St. Petersburg, which opened this spring, also contributes to the intensification of delegation exchanges.

During the three-day visit, the guests from St. Petersburg visited the largest specialised enterprises of the Brest region - OJSC “Savushkin Product”, OJSC “Brest Distillery “Belalco”, JLLC “Polesie” (Kobrin), OJSC “Greenhouse Plant “Berestye”, LLC “Belovezhkhimprom” (Pruzhany District), the office of the company Belita-Vitex in Brest, visited the Memorial Complex Brest Fortress - Hero, and got acquainted with the tourism potential of the city on the Bug.

The portfolio of results includes a signed contract with a company in the Brest region's agricultural sector, plans for implementing projects in the areas of educational services for businesses, industrial tourism, and agreements on mutual supplies of goods and services, which will be further developed by the partners in the near future.
