International Business Contacts Forum “#1 region – Territory of Success”

The International Business Contacts Forum “#1region - Territory of Success” was held in Brest on April 28-29, 2026. The forum was organised to establish contacts and strengthen ties between foreign and Belarusian companies, with a focus on the so-called “far arc” countries, conduct business negotiations, and exchange experiences in various economic and social sectors.

The forum was attended by more than 100 representatives of government and diplomatic missions, business circles-manufacturers, industrial and engineering companies, logistics specialists, and industry business associations - from India, China, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Serbia, Slovakia, the Republic of Srpska, and Vietnam.

The event opened with a plenary session presenting regional development strategies and prospects for international cooperation.

During the plenary session, a number of cooperation documents were signed. Specifically:
A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Brest Region and the Republic of Serbia on social and healthcare issues. Agreements were concluded with the Association of Chinese Enterprises, signed by Mikhail Batsenko, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, and Ms. Zhao Qingqiu, Secretary General of the Association of Chinese Enterprises. A memorandum of cooperation in healthcare between the Brest Regional Executive Committee and the Jincheng Municipal People's Government was signed by Viktor Mikhalovskiy, Head of the General Department of Health of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, and Zhang Jun, Deputy Mayor of the Jincheng Municipal People's Government.

A memorandum of cooperation in the field of education between the Pinsk City Executive Committee and the Jincheng Municipal People's Government was signed by Valery Rebkovets, Chairman of the Pinsk City Executive Committee, and Zhang Jun, Deputy Mayor of the Jincheng Municipal People's Government.

A cooperation agreement between Brest Central City Hospital and Chongqing Jinshan Science & Technology (Group) Co. Limited was signed by Andrei Mokrov, Hospital's Chief Physician, and the management of Chongqing Jinshan Science & Technology (Group) Co. Limited.

A memorandum of cooperation between Brest Central City Hospital and Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was signed by Andrei Mokrov, Hospital's Chief Physician, and Liu Ning, Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine's Deputy Chief Physician.

Following the plenary session, work continued in thematic sections: “Industry. Foreign Trade. Logistics”, with presentations of the Brest Free Economic Zone, the cities of Brest, Pinsk, and Baranovichi, as well as the logistics capabilities of the Brest Region and banking products offering financial support to exporters. In the “Tourism” section, guests were introduced to the region's tourism opportunities and mechanisms for attracting tourist flows. In the “Education” and “Healthcare” sections, foreign guests were introduced to the work of healthcare and educational institutions.

One of the forum's key events was a business matchmaking session in b2b and b2d formats. Bilateral business meetings were held at the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with over 30 international and approximately 50 Belarusian participants. The parties discussed the supply of agricultural and municipal equipment, fertilizers, powdered milk and beef, IT products, cooperation in mechanical engineering, electronics, and industrial equipment, as well as collaboration in tourism, insurance, and finance.
