THE TERRITORY OF THE FREE ECONOMIC ZONE "MOGILEV", LIKE OTHER FREE ECONOMIC ZONES IN THE COUNTRY, IS A SPECIAL BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT. THE SUCCESSFUL SYMBIOSIS OF STATE PREFERENCES AND THE RESPONSIBLE APPROACH OF INVESTORS TO FULFILLING THEIR OBLIGATIONS HAS BEEN THE KEY TO MANY SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS, INCLUDING EXPORT-ORIENTED ONES.
The "Mogilev" FEZ is located in the eastern region of the country, Mogilev region, with a population of over 1.1 million people. Mogilev region directly borders the Russian Federation, serving as a gateway to the vast EAEU market. The unified customs territory with Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan provides opportunities for the free movement of goods, services, capital and labour within a population of 186 million people.
The advantages of the region's geographical location are an excellent driver for the implementation of projects, forming new successful companies that develop the economic and export potential of the region and the whole country. Established in 2002 to attract domestic and foreign investments, the "Mogilev" FEZ has been successfully serving its goals, such as creating and developing enterprises, providing favourable conditions for the structural reorganisation of the national economy and the efficient use of production capacities.
The free economic zone consists of 18 land plots, primarily with developed engineering and transport infrastructure in major industrial centres, both in the regional centre, the city of Mogilev, and in the district-subordinate cities: Bobruisk, Shklov, Krichev and Osipovichi. The total area of the business opportunity territory exceeds 3700 hectares.
Within the FEZ, a special legal regime for conducting investment and entrepreneurial activities has been established for its residents. It provides a range of tax, customs benefits, and other preferences for the effective implementation of investment projects. The availability of qualified personnel allows the timely launching of new products.
During the stable and successful operation of the "Mogilev" FEZ for over 20 years, its advantages have been appreciated by resident enterprises, including renowned global market players. Currently, there are 48 companies founded by both foreign and national investors. The residents' products make up more than 50 percent of the region's exports and more than 60 percent of foreign investment!
It's not by chance that the "Mogilev" FEZ residents are among the laureates of the "Best Exporter of the Year", namely OJSC "Mogotex", BelEmsa LLC, RUE "Zavod Gazetnoy Bumagi".
The activities of the "Mogilev" FEZ and its residents make a significant contribution to the development of Mogilev region and the Republic of Belarus, creating jobs, increasing the region's export and investment attractiveness, and improving the well-being of the population.
Today, the free economic zone "Mogilev" is ready to offer land plots for the construction of new production facilities that fully meet the most demanding investor's requirements, as well as unused production areas within its boundaries. Over 560 hectares of land for Greenfield investment projects, as well as around 100,000 square metres of Brownfield production and warehouse facilities are available.
