JSC "LAKOKRASKA" LIDA IS THE LARGEST MANUFACTURER OF PAINT AND VARNISH MATERIALS FOR VARIOUS INDUSTRIES IN BELARUS. THE COMPANY PRODUCES OVER 200 TYPES OF PRODUCTS, WHICH ARE IN HIGH DEMAND IN THE DOMESTIC MARKET AND IN MORE THAN 30 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD.
The modern world is hard to imagine without paint and varnish materials. Only at first glance it may seem that they are used only when there is a need to polish or update something.
In fact, the scope of paint and varnish materials application is much wider. They can be found while reading a book with a child, watching the colored pictures decorating grey pages and characters coming to life thanks to bright colors. Should it be necessary to preserve drinking water or to make fresh wine from a new grape crop, once again we are faced with paint and varnish materials: the tanks to store these liquids must be treated and protected with special materials. When buying a car, we do not even think that paint and varnish materials are used not only to give the body color but also to paint various interior details. And, of course, the construction sector: paint and varnish materials are used at every stage of the long chain from preparation for construction to the finished object commissioning.
Realizing the importance and relevance of paint and varnish products for almost all sectors of the national economy, the decision was made in 1963 to build a plant for the production of paint and varnish materials in the city of Lida.
As it was further developing, the enterprise opened workshops for the production of alkyd lacquers, phthalic anhydride, a transport workshop, and put a nitrogen-oxygen station into operation. All this was done to ensure the maximum provision of production resources and increase the autonomy of the enterprise. After all, the production of high-quality products for all industries has always been and remains the most important task.
For almost 60 years of successful work, the company has mastered the production of a wide range of demanded products: from paints for consumer needs and construction to special-purpose materials for technological equipment and pipelines. JSC "Lakokraska" today is the country's largest manufacturer of paint and varnish materials, one of the leaders in the CIS market and an exporter to more than 30 countries around the world.
The company produces over 200 types of paint and varnish products. Such a wide offer requires continuous improvement of the production process.
The recent restructuring of the assortment with regard to the fields of application and distribution methods, allowed to bring to the market the trademarks LIDA (traditional, well-known consumer products), FRESKO (a group of materials for painting mineral surfaces), MASSIVE (for decorative processing and wood protection), GARAGE (products for cars: antifreeze, windshield wiper), BELLAK (semi-finished varnishes).
The FRESKO brand encompasses environmentally friendly water-dispersion materials manufactured according to advanced technologies. There are also eco-friendly products in the LIDA and MASSIVE brand lines.
One of the most important directions the company sticks to when developing and introducing new types of paint and varnish materials is establishing new marketing communications, including active promotion of products in retail chains, visits to customers, presentations, participation in exhibitions, the improvement of the employees' knowledge and skills.
Semi-finished products such as phthalic anhydride and semi-finished varnishes are in demand. Phthalic anhydride is needed for the production of plasticizers, polyester and alkyd resins, dyes, medicines, rubber products. In addition, it is also a necessary element for the production of semi-finished lacquers, which in turn are part of the technology of obtaining water-dispersion paints, putties, primers, PVA adhesives and other building materials. By the way, JSC "Lakokraska" is the only producer of phthalic anhydride in Belarus.
In the CIS market, the company is known as a manufacturer of alkyd resins intended for the production of paint and varnish materials. In this direction, the lines "Lidalkid-60", "Lidalkid-53" and quick-drying varnishes have been released.
It is impossible to move forward without the creation of new products, the introduction of new technologies, the guarantee of the highest quality of products. The Department for New Developments, which unites the Central Laboratory and the group for the promotion of new materials, is working on the JSC "Lakokraska" development prospects. The company has established a laboratory for climatic testing of coatings which operates successfully.
An important task today is not only to produce but also to sell goods. For this purpose, the Marketing Department and the Sales Department have well established the work process on the sale of the manufactured goods to the regions of Belarus and beyond the country borders.
All achievements are based on the high professionalism and cohesion of the team, as well as on flexible, modern approaches to quality control and enterprise management. JSC "Lakokraska" does not rest on the laurels and continues improving production, identifying promising areas, expanding the product range to meet the requirements of the time and satisfy consumer needs.
