Closed Joint-Stock Company "Meat and Dairy Company" is a specialized organization for exporting the food industry products manufactured by the Belarusian meat and dairy complex enterprises. The company was established in 2009 by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Belarus. It is an official exporter of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Primarily, the company aims to develop new markets, diversify the product portfolio of Belarusian exports, study major trends in world markets, provide transport and logistics services.
CJSC "Meat and Dairy Company" is a member of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an active participant of its business events. Participation in visits, business meetings, negotiations and other events held by the BelCCI provides the organization staff with the possibility to establish new ties in the world business arena and attract potential partners from different regions of the world.
In 2023, representatives of CJSC "Meat and Dairy Company" took part in two events under the auspices of the BelCCI: a business visit to the Kyrgyz Republic and the Zimbabwe-Belarus business forum in Harare.
During the visit to Kyrgyzstan, the company representatives visited Umai Group LLC, where they discussed the possible cooperation vectors and joint projects. The Kyrgyz party expressed interest in importing a wide range of products: meat and dairy products, canned stew, canned fish, condensed milk, eggs, poultry, and other goods. Additionally, bilateral negotiations were held with representatives of Elinar LLC, Ak-Kuu OJSC, Ejoo Trade LLC, Kyrgyz Eco Export LLC, trade networks Riho LLC and PartnerKey G CJSC, as well as a meeting with the Director of Belovezhski Gostinets enterprise. As a result, the Belarusian and Kyrgyz parties outlined the ways and prospects for further cooperation development.
The Zimbabwe-Belarus business forum, organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries to coincide with the official visit of the Belarusian President to Harare, was a landmark event for the company.
Despite the relative novelty of the African vector for Belarusian food exports, Meat and Dairy Company arranged trial supplies of beef legs and poultry to the Republic of Ghana in 2021.
During the business forum, Zimbabwean business circles were able to taste meat and dairy products made by the leading Belarusian companies. Canned poultry and beef, condensed milk, cheese produced by Slutsk Cheese Factory OJSC, milk shakes from Molochny Gostinets enterprise, canned baby food from Orsha Meat Canning Factory OJSC, smoked poultry meat products produced by Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory OJSC caused genuine interest of the forum participants.
The Zimbabwean business community was also provided with a video presentation of the export potential of the Meat and Dairy Company. B2B negotiations were held with a number of interested individuals and heads of enterprises – potential partners.
The negotiations with representatives of the BINDURA FARMERS ASSOCIATION deserve special mention. The members of the Association are more than 3500 farmers engaged both in beef cattle breeding and growing crops on a commercial basis.
The Association representatives made a suggestion to carry out a market research for CJSC "Meat and Dairy Company" concerning the most competitive and demanded product positions in the local market. The parties agreed to initiate the work on the draft Memorandum of Intentions in the near future.
According to the Zimbabwean party, the next stage of cooperation could be a joint venture (a meat processing plant) establishment in one of the provinces of Zimbabwe, as the local industry is experiencing an acute shortage of technology and qualified personnel, while the amount of raw materials is sufficient.
A visit to the dairy plant of PRO Dairy company was organized for the Belarusian delegation. The participants of the visit got acquainted with the production facilities, held technical and commercial negotiations on the prospects of powdered dairy products supply. The feedback and further cooperation development are expected in the near future.
CJSC "Meat and Dairy Company" plans to continue its active participation in the events of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expanding the geography of the Belarusian food exports and developing new foreign trade vectors.
